My experience is a JVM system file corrupt after a power down/up.
We have file writing in our application, but not at the moment of off/on.
Whe use a configuration with flash memory every 3600 seconds.

I can provide my experience.
I experienced, just one time, that, after several and continuos power down
and power on, the jar file of the application got corrupted.
