I need to handle i18n on my current project (and most projects I see these
days in fact). I've done searches on this mailing list and php-dev and see
numerous people asking about this but few replies. 

The most hopeful match is from October of last year when Brodie Thiesfield
posted something about a plugin module. (sorry, no message-id the archive
doesn't show them, is there a better list archive somewhere?) 

But there's no other discussion of i18n in the past 6 months? Has this plugin
or some other similar tool been merged into the main distribution?
