This is the dev-mailinglist for the Smarty Template Engine, so in the
future, post it to the right mailinglist; php-general@lists.php.net or
Debian's.

Unless you've installed the CGI-version of PHP:
apt-get install php4-cgi

After that you should be able to execute scripts by:
php4 <scriptname>

I'm using Debian Linux. i've got a problem..

i'd like to run a php file using command line arguments.( command line
execution) .

in Red Hat and all...the syntax is:  php <filename>

 Can anybody give me the syntax for running php in Debian Linux ...
