Dear readers,

Checking a harddrive using smartctl -A /dev/sdX results in a nice table with id and \
attributes like so:

=== START OF READ SMART DATA SECTION ===
SMART Attributes Data Structure revision number: 10
Vendor Specific SMART Attributes with Thresholds:
ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME FLAG VALUE WORST THRESH TYPE UPDATED \
WHEN_FAILED RAW_VALUE 1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate 0x000f 077 063 044 Pre-fail \
Always - 56776869 3 Spin_Up_Time 0x0003 100 100 000 \
Pre-fail Always - 0

However, on some servers I receive a completely different output using the same \
version of smartmontools. Below is an example:

I tried a lot of things, but I cannot get the table with id’s and attributes. Does \
someone know why this output differs and what I can do to get the table with id’s and \
attributes.

Kind regards and thanks in advance for your reply,

Gijsbert Rochat
