Hi,
I just started using the smartmontools. On several systems it's working
without any problem, but on one system the short self-test never
completes, even after several hours. I tried starting it manually again
using smartctl, so the old test was aboarted but the new one still
hangs. Other than the selftest hangs the system is working fine without
any problems nor suspicious log entries. Do I have to worry and better
replace the disc? Or is this a known problem which can be solved?
