Hello Bruce and the other members on this list,

I have installed smartmontools on my server and configured smartd to
test the hard drive in every 2 hours and send me the warning email. I
have got a couple of warning emails, but should have gotten more as
per the logs. Could you tell me why is it not attempting to send the
warning emails sometimes?

What concerns me more is the alert email. The alert email is just
saying the log count has been increased for a particular device. Is
there any way of getting a detailed info other than writing a script
to send the logs taken from smartctl -a or from the smartd logs. Any
ideas would be highly appreciated.

I would like to congratulate Bruce for presenting a tool like this. I
would love to see it working as I have thought.

Regards,
Deepak
