Hi,

based on the SuSE init script for SuSE 9.1,
I updated the SuSE part of smartd.initd.in:

- clean up whitespace pollution: add tab at line beginning
- add support for "smartd reload" and "smartd try-restart"
- "rc_status" for each case

This email is sent with a tab preserving script, so you
should be able to apply it as is.

regards
Manfred
