Hello,
I would like to submit information about WD Elements Portable (aka WD Elements 1048 \
as identified by Linux) drive (http://www.wd.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=470) \
that is not in the current drive DB version.
Its model is erroneously reported as "Western Digital My Passport (USB, AF)" and I \
currently use the following DB entry to match vendor and product IDs:
% cat /etc/smart_drivedb.h
{ "USB: WD Elements 1048; ",
"0x1058:0x1048",
"",
"",
"-d sat"
},
So,
% smartctl -q noserial -x /dev/sdc
smartctl 5.42 2011-10-20 r3458 [i686-linux-3.4.2-2-ARCH] (local build)
