I also have seen this problem and posted about it with few responses.

I have been pointed to the following articles:

This is not <i>quite</i> the same error as you are getting, 
but I have tried all of the suggestions to no avail.

You might try some other webdav clients as a replacement to IE.
like webdrive, and kcura.  I have found that these work in all
circumstances (KCura has some bugs...) where I.E. fails miserably.
