Subject:    NodeProperty's field "type"

I'm implementing my own DescrptorsStore and having a question.
NodeProperty class has a field "String type" and its getter and setter. Is 
this "type" used in current Slide implementation? The comment says "FIXME : 
Remove that". Should I store the type value in my store?
