Doh....   browser cache.

Now, making ALL topics children of both Index and Articles makes things a bit
confusing.  

Can I make all topics only home into Articles, and then manually add index as a
standalone topic for things that should be on the index page?.  Index  would be
the only "submittable" section, but all stories would appear in articles by
inheritance?
