Subject: [Sisuite-users] Autoinstall image d/l stops consistently in same spot

Hey all,

I am running 3.2.3 w/flamethrower on a cluster of Dell workstations. They
only have 256 MB RAM each, and when I run the flamethrower autoinstall, the
install proceeds until the image is exactly 209MB into the download. At
this point the hard drive light comes on for about 10 seconds and then ..
nothing. The image d/l status is still on the screen, no error msgs, and
the computer is not locked (I can ctrl-c to busybox).

I originally thought the problem was not providing enough swap/tmpfs space
and I modified the boot files to give as much room as possible. Still no
dice. I went as far as modifying the /etc/init.d/functions script to force
the image download to go straight to the hard drive, which DOES work,
although I have to throttle the d/l speed down to 5mb.

I think the issue may be related to the fact there is only 256MB of ram.
However, I have read many entries where users have been applying images of
over 2GB successfully. I doubt they are all using servers that have 2+GB
of ram. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,

---Ryan
