I have some machines on my cluster with different size disks and while I
got things to work, I did it different than described in the manual
because it didn't seem to make sense and I want to make sure what I did
was reasonable.

According to the manual, you make a new autoinstallscript.conf file and
rebuild your master install script from it. To my way of thinking, this
essentially blows away your old versions OR even if you renamed them you
then have to rename them back when you want to do a different installation.

What I did was create a different autoinstallscript.conf file and pass
the name of that to the mkautoinstallscript command. with the
-config-file switch. However, the switch I expected to find and
couldn't, is the one that lets you write out some file other than your
master installation script, so I had to rename that one (to preserve it
before mkautoinstallscript blows it away) and name it back after moving
my new master script off elsewhere. In fact, the elsewhere I moved my
newly created script to was to replace the appropriate node specific
install scripts - which is what I thought they were for in the first place.

Do other people do this? Is there some reason I shouldn't have done so
- will something else not be configured correctly now? If others do
what I did perhaps someone else has already suggested adding an output
script file name switch to mkautoinstallscript. I'd assume this
technique would apply to any node specific configuration changes
