Any number or SIP address can be dialed on a Cisco 7960 SIP phone. Here's \
instructions for a 7960 running SIP firmware version 3.2 with multiple lines set up \
and iptel set up on line 3:
1. Begin by pressing the "Line" button corresponding to the line registered with the \
Proxy Address "iptel.org" (as seen in Settings -> 4. SIP Configuration -> Line 3 \
Settings -> 5. Proxy Address)
2. Note that the line icon displayed is shaped like an old-fashioned telephone.

3. Press the softkey corresponding to "URL". Note that as soon as "URL" is depressed, \
the phone line icon no longer appears as a an old-fashioned telephone but instead \
appears similar to an "@" symbol with the old-fashioned telephone receiver on the \
top.
To dial the colon ":", [after depressing the "URL" softkey] simply press the "1" key \
five (5) times [You'll see as soon as you press the "1" key the first time, the other \
characters available from that "number button" will appear upon the LCD screen. The \
"@" symbol is displayed [after depressing the "URL" softkey] the first time the \
"0(OPER)" key is depressed.
4. Input the dialed party's address using the same procedure used to spell with the \
7960 phone's keypad.
5. When all characters in the address character string (e.g. fc@iptel.org) have been \
input, press the "Dial" softkey to send the character string.
All the best,

F C Wood
fc@wood.org
sip:fc@iptel.org

So how would you dial a FWD number in this format?

Also, is it possible to dial a ':'?

		Yes, that can be done.

		'@' is dialed as "**", and '.' and ':' are dialed as a '*'.

		Thus to dial Jeff's Vonage number - 16313501554@sip.vonage.net - try dialing \
following from your ATA.

16313501554**12*144*47*38 (Here 12.144.47.38 is Ip address of SIP.Vonage.net)

		Thanks

Has anyone figured out how to use the Cisco ATA's to dial a
			"sip:{Vonage_Phone Number 10 digits}@sip.vonage.net" or

any other URL listed sip number? Sip:{name}@{Sip Server DNS name.com} -
not the technical RFC format obviously.

Not talking about a numeric number only but anything in SIP URL format that
cant be dialed on a telephone dial pad.
