Hi,
The branch parameter should not be copied as this is a new transaction.
As the dialog is terminated by the 401/407, and the next INVITE is an
outside dialog request, it cannot contain any To tag.
The requirement to have the same call-id is for co-relation of the
credential to the challenge at the server end.
Cheers,
Prasanna

Subject: [Sip-implementors] Authorization scenario question
Hi
I have a question concerning Authorization process.
If, for example, a server rejected the initial request with 401 or 407
response, and the request should be re-originated with the proper
credentials.
Should the new request copy the Via branch parameter?
Should the new request copy the To tag from 401(407) response?
Thanks in advance
