Hi Ganesh,
When P routed the request to Q, it is assumed that P knew something about
P. But what kind of information will P require to know about Q? P can use
OPTIONS to get some data about Q. A way is defined in the RFC-3261 to do
this.
Regards,
Prasanna

Subject: [Sip-implementors] Regarding SIP messages

Hello

Thank you for clearing my queries i had sent before. Now i have a doubt
about how a proxy identify the server, which replies.

Suppose P is a proxy, sends a message say Invite to another proxy q and
the q sends a reply.( note that q is not the registrar and it is another
proxy).
How can P know the q proxy's details?? Is there any contnts in the replied
SIP message to know the details or normal socket mechanism should be used??
 Please clear my query...

with regards
Ganesh Iyer. S
