The new version of the SILC Toolkit is now available! The source package
of the software is available from the following sources:

         http://silcnet.org/
         ftp://ftp.silcnet.org/

Another upgrade to the Toolkit, 0.9.14. This version mainly fixes some
bugs, but also introduces a bit more liberal channel names, that got more
restricted in the 0.9.13 release. Only minor API changes has occurred,
but since I screwed up the shared library naming in 0.9.13 release the
shared version has changed again to get the lib versions back on track.
Sorry for the inconvenience. One significant API change is with LIST
command reply, see summary of changes for details.

Summary of Changes
------------------

o Added more liberal channel names. Channel names can again have
characters like '!', '@', and some others.

o Added new functions to check for valid channel names,
   silc_channel_name_check and silc_channel_name_verify.

   http://silcnet.org/docs/toolkit/silcstrutil-silc_channel_name_check.html
   http://silcnet.org/docs/toolkit/silcstrutil-silc_channel_name_verify.html

o The LIST command reply handles empty reply correctly now. The
application is called with the 'command_reply' callback for LIST
command reply with all arguments set to NULL. Application must be
able to handle this correctly. Updated documentation also.

   http://silcnet.org/docs/toolkit/silcstatus_args.html

o Fixed crash during JOIN.

o Fixed crash during silc_client_get_users_by_channel callback.

o Fixed pkg-config file installation path.

o Several other minor bugfixes were made.

The full list of changes is available on the website and in CHANGES file
in the source package.

Installation
------------

The source package is compiled and installed as instructed in the INSTALL
file found from the package. Refer also to the building instructions in
the Toolkit Reference Manual:

   http://silcnet.org/docs/toolkit/building.html

Quick installation:

   ./configure
   make
   make install

Known Issues
------------

- Known platform specific issues

   - silc_net_create_connection_async is not actually asynchronous on
Win32. It works synchronously and blocks the process.
