The simple answer is "no".  Most protocols do not support "out-of-band"
data/notification.  TCP itself does, but that's not necessarily at the
application layer.

Is there a way to send messages to the users that are using the proxies on
the sidewinder if you would want them to know that the server they are
connecting through the proxy is going to be shutdown?  I see where you can
send a message to everyone if your going to Reboot the Sidewinder or Halt
it, but wanted to know if there is a command line process that could send a
message to all users logged in through the Sidewinder?
