Our "friends" at Checkpoint changed the CVP protocol, but will not share the
protocol with us. They were very good about distributing CVP server tool
kits, but no information is available on how to implement a CVP client. We
tested Symantec Anti-virus for firewalls version 1.5, which supports the old
protocol. If you can find one of those, you should be able to get it a
garage sale prices.

I am working on three plans to get the new protocol, which every server
seems to support Wish me luck.

Subject: [Sidewinder] CVP virus scanners?

All,

I'm looking for info on how folks have implemented 3rd-party CVP SMTP virus
scanners with a Sidewinder firewall. I've had mixed success evaluating
several CVP products and was wondering if there's a golden combination of
products and versions already out there somewhere.

Thanks,

- Alex
