The XPath locator //input[@name='n' and @value='v'] can't find the element
<input type="submit" name="n" value="v"> on IE.
This is because IE returns false to attribute.specified although the value attribute is given.

The patch is here; http://forums.openqa.org/thread.jspa?threadID=31&tstart=15 .
This is ad-hoc but work well.
