Network Security Corp. (NSEC) is a rapidly expanding firm specializing in
all aspects of the Network Security field, from Security Policy
Development, Vulnerability Scans and Information Security Consulting to
design, implementation and management of Firewall/VPN/PKI solutions. We
are aggressively seeking qualified individuals to fill numerous Junior,
Senior and Entry Level technical positions currently available
at our headquarters near Buffalo, NY. NSEC offers competitive salaries and an

candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Senior Level Network Security Engineer:
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in the Network/WAN/LAN or Network Security
field.
Thorough understanding of and experience with the OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS,
DHCP, Network Address Translation, IP addressing, subnet masking
(including variable length subnet masking), routing, dynamic routing
protocols and WAN technologies.
Knowledge of and experience with various firewall architectures, from both
a design and implementation standpoint.
Experience as System Administrator on AIX, Solaris, HP-UX or NT networks.
CCSE or equivalent experience with Check Point Firewall-1 4.0.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.


Duties:
On-site consulting at various customer locations.
Design and implementation of High Availability networks (including design
and implementation of various firewall architectures).
Perform & oversee various consulting services, including Vulnerability
Scans, Penetration Testing and Security Policy Review & Development.
Assistance in overseeing Remote Firewall Monitoring & Management
contracts.
Development of new services.
Review consulting services performed by Junior Level Engineers.
Ongoing streamlining of services for increased efficiency.
3rd Level Technical Support.
Sales liaison (for large contracts).
Recommend training and certification courses.
Recommend software/hardware tools to be used internally.

Junior Level Network Security Engineer:
Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years experience in the Network/WAN/LAN or Network Security
field.
Understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Network Address

subnet masking), routing, dynamic routing protocols and WAN technologies.
Basic knowledge of various firewall architectures, from both a design and
implementation standpoint.

Installation and configuration of hardware and/or software.
2nd Level Technical Support.
Perform remote & on-site Vulnerability Scans.
Assistance in overseeing Remote Firewall Monitoring & Management
contracts.

Entry Level Technical Support:
Qualifications:

Currently in possession of or pursuing four-year degree in Computer
Science or equivalent field.
Basic understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, and WAN
technologies.
Experience with AIX, Solaris, HP-UX or NT operating systems.
Basic HTML and perl skills, or ability to learn.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.

Duties:
Trainee for Junior Level positions.
Accompany Junior Level Engineers on technical support phone calls as part
of the training process.
Evaluate new products in the field of Network Security.
Monitor Remote Firewall Management Terminals at NSEC's NOC near Buffalo,
NY.
Perform daily backups and remote service tasks.
1st Level Technical Support.
On-call availability.
Web page maintenance.
