JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:       Security System Administrator
Location:       Washington D.C., District of Columbia, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2006-04-23

Monitor system components, visual inspection of equipment displays, event items and \
log files.  Monitor performance and link monitors 
Monitor message queues 
Monitor telegram processing systems (CableXpress, TD04, TeDS) services and agents for \
proper system performance  Perform hourly checks and annotate as such on daily \
checklist of key servers and systems within CBPC proper and areas of responsibility  \
Open and properly annotate trouble ticket, recognize high priority tickets and users, \
and act accordingly  Diagnose and correct common DoS Messaging Systems problems 
Diagnose and correct all advanced server hardware and software problems—perform \
disaster recovery operations as necessary  Diagnose and correct CBPC network LAN \
switching problems  NetIQ configuration, optimization, administration and training  
Exchange 2000 Migration support and server builds    
MCSE 2000 certified
