TECHNICAL EVANGELIST NEEDED FOR NETWORK ASSOCIATES
Location: Santa Clara, CA

Description:
The Technical Evangalist will have product related responsibilities that will be \
customer, internal and partner facing. These will include: Author product collateral \
(data sheets, white papers, web site content); Deliver competitive analysis for \
varying audiences including sales, SE's, customers, and partners; Develop customer \
case studies, product business cases & TCO/ROI analysis; Conduct market research and \
gather market intelligence as well as customer requirements; Deliver product training \
for Sales ,SE's and Partners; Participate in strategic customer engagements; \
Interface with product management and development teams; Represent NET in public \
forums such as trade shows; Provide ongoing product support for customers and presale \
engagements.
4+ years of hands on network security experience (Firewall, VPN, gateway security). \
*Experience with IDS/IPS product preferred. * Prior experience in technical \
marketing, sales engineering, or product marketing * Working knowledge of \
security/networking products (Routers, switches, Load balancing, VPN's) and data \
networking technologies - (TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, DNS, WINS, OSI model) * Excellent \
verbal and written skills and delivery of product information to technical audience.
4+ years in a Product Marketing/Sales Engineering role with specific focus on \
networking/security technologies * Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related \
field. * Excellent communcations skills - both written and verbal. * Strong \
presentation skills * Prior product marketing experience at a security and/or \
networking vendor.
