The Product Manager is the driving force behind the inception, planning,
development and delivery of new products to market. The Product manager
works to manage the complete life cycle of all product aspects including
definition, introduction and product/program areas to ensure overall
business success with products distributed worldwide.
The Product Manager position is a key strategic position. Product Managers
must develop a careful balance of future vision, near term opportunities,
customer requirements, business savvy and management of day-to-day product
issues. The customer set varies from R&D to other marketing functions,
executives, channel, end users and business partners. We seek an
individual that provides an entrepreneurial focus on helping to lead the
company into a new technology and product direction. The product
management function requires an important balance between business and
technology thought leadership to help guide the company. The position is
very dynamic and the individual must be comfortable with frequent multi-
tasking between technical, business, strategic, marketing and planning
activities.
The Sr. Product Manager , MetaFrame Password Manager will be responsible
for the championing the introduction of a high volume single sign-on
product. Familiarity with the security “3A” market space is essential
background. Understanding of existing single sign-on alternatives and
their functionality is highly desirable. A strong cross-functional
understanding of delivering a product to market is critical for this early
lifecycle offering. Prior product management experience and direct
ownership of volume-based software products is a prerequisite.
Essential job functions include:
• Product Planning documentation
• Business Plans
• Product Requirements Documentation
• Internal/external roadmaps
• Customer and market research
• Interface with Engineering to ensure timely development
• Interface with other departments and channels to ensure
availability of all necessary materials and content for Introduction,
training and ongoing sales
• Manage the product(s) over their entire lifecycle
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company
• Participate in the development of sales tools, training,
demonstration programs and sales literature
Qualifications:
The Sr. Product Manager , MetaFrame Password Manager will be responsible
for the championing the introduction of a high volume single sign-on
product. Familiarity with the security “3A” market space is essential
background. Understanding of existing single sign-on alternatives and
their functionality is highly desirable. A strong cross-functional
understanding of delivering a product to market is critical for this early
lifecycle offering. Prior product management experience and direct

Candidate proficiency in Internet access vehicles, security, Windows NT,
general Microsoft product experience, and directory infrastructure are all
considered important areas of background for this position.
• 5 + years of experience as a Senior Product Manager
• Thorough understanding of security concepts and products
• Multi-tiered channel sales model
• Helpful background in Web programming tools and technology; Portal
Solutions; Content or document management; Single sign-on security; Team
collaboration (synchronous and/or asynchronous); Enterprise search engines
• Excellent leadership, negotiation & persuasion skills
• Able to work with R&D to define and make product trade off's
• Ability to document ideas in plans, Proposed Business Plans
(PBO’s) and Products Requirements Documentation (PRD’s)
• Forecasting, competitive positioning and financial return on
investment
• Computer and software proficiency (Windows and/or UNIX
applications)
• BSCS, MIS BSEE, BS or equivalent required, MBA helpful
