I was wondering if there were any thoughts on a secure implimentation
of a Linux webserver connected to
a Win2K server running SQL Server 2000.

The Linux server would be the actual website. Any transactions would
be passed to the Win2K server for
the order fulfillment and data storage of online orders. The Win2K
would have a SSL certificate for
transactions.

Questions are:

What protocols would be best to impliment this kind of arrangement?
ipSEC, IPCHAINS, SSL Tunneling
Any good software applications to handle this kind of configuration?
Is this a simple payment gateway kind of situation where, since the
transactions are actually occuring from
the Win2K server, that there does not need to be any other
configuration, besides a https site on IIS?

Thanks for any feedback
