Hello!
I've been using ssh since version 1.2.26 . I'm sticking with the older
version for now, due to the lack of clients for my Mac, although Mindterm
is pretty close to replacing my F-Secure client. :-)
Ok, so I've got AIX 4.3.3 using gcc 2.95.2 . When I compile SSH, I do a :
./configure --disable-asm
If I don't disable asm, then I can't compile it because of errors. Ok.
When I telnet in to my AIX boxen, I typically have to issue a :
stty erase ^?
Using SSH is no different. If I issue the stty erase command, then all is
well EXCEPT that the cursor does not track on screen. When I backspace up,
the cursor stays where it is, but the data is deleted.
It seems to be in the way that the SSHD is recognizing my client. To that
end, it happens with MindTerm 1.2, NiftyTelnet 1.1r3, F-Secure . If I ssh
in from a linux box to the AIX box, then the back space works fine _after_
I issue the stty erase command.
This happens with ssh-1.2.26 up to .30 . It happens if I use gcc 2.95.2 or
IBM's C Compiler.
Has anyone seen this before ? Any thoughts ?
Thanks!
Michael
