Ran into something like this a while back with SSL... apparently mixing
GCC and CC .o's don't mix well...  After a friend searched through
DejaNews or Altavista, he found a reference to this problem... (he used
the string "ld: FATAL 2: Internal: at ../commonlib/ld3264/relocate.c
merge_ext returns nil..." )

Make sure that ssh was compiled with with one compiler or the other...
