I dion't see how you managed to delete some of the original data
sets.
Perhaps you could write back to SAS-L and show us your code to do
this. Because this looks like a one- or two-step process as you have
described it. So I'm concerned that there are complexities in your code
which do *not* show up in the above discussion.
By the way, please clarify: are the data set in your 'list' SAS data sets,
text files, proprietary data files, or what?
