AGENDA

2:00pm  Welcome and Introduction

2:10pm  Coming up to speed with Version 8 - Brian Watts and Robert Salvana
                        A panel discussion of the various issues users are
having with SAS version 8.  Two of the SAS technical support staff, Brian
Watts and Robert Salvana will present on the most common problems that users
are experiencing in moving to the new version.  Any attendee who has
specific questions that they wish answered can E-mail their questions to
Amanda and she will forward them to the guys.

3:00pm  Afternoon tea

3:30pm  The changes to SAS and where you go to now!
                        Neil Kafer (Utilities Sector Manager - SAS
Institute)
                        Neil will do a brief talk on the 're-structure' of
SAS and the new 'sector' focus.

3:40pm  Gary Hubber from Transurban & Murray Peake have agreed to
                        present their 2000 SUGA paper titled "A one-to-one
Customer Solution for the New Citylink - Tolling without Coins"


4:30pm  Drinks and Nibbles

Biographical information :-

Brian Watts - SAS Sydney Office
Brian began his career in the IT Industry 18 years ago. While he has worked
predominantly in the IBM Mainframe environment, his experience includes some
IBM Midrange, PC Lans and Unix platforms. His roles have included project
leading and management, systems and business analysis, software development
and also education.

Some of his recent speaking engagements this year include presenting on the
Balanced Scorecard in IT at SeUGI Dublin in June, and at CMGA 2000 on the
Gold Coast in September, as well as presenting on SAS Version 8 Tips and
Techniques for OS/390 environments.

He is currently employed as a Senior Technical Specialist with SAS South
Pacific in Sydney, a role which includes support, education, sales and
consulting tasks as necessary, and includes the great honour and pleasure of
giving presentations at SAS User Group meetings.

Robert Salvana - SAS Melbourne Office
Robert began with SAS Institute at the beginning of January this year. I
spent 5 months in Sydney attending numerous courses and making myself
available in Technical Support for a few weeks. Since the early parts of
June, I have been working in the Melbourne office in the Sales Support team
going out to various sites and helping clients with some SAS technical
issues, including a few V8 installations. In the office I have been
researching some of the new SAS technologies especially in the area of Java
Server Pages.

Neil Kafer - Sector Manager - Utilities,  SAS Melbourne Office

Neil Kafer is the Sector Manager for Utilities, Resources & Infrastructure
for SAS South Pacific. His responsibilities are focussed on developing SAS'
relationships with market participants in the defined sectors across the
South Pacific region.

Prior to joining SAS, Neil held a similar role at Fujitsu Australia; and
also worked at Sydney Electricity as a Business Marketing Manager as that
organisation underwent the transition to EnergyAustralia and joined the
deregulated national market.
