Micheal is right, you should have the app generate the envelope via
JCL.  You mention the submit blocks, so you're not a newbie (:.  What
I have done (on the PC) is use the '%include' or use the macro
name.(After I modify the program by putting the %macro and the %mend
into the main program.)  Therefore, you do not have to copy the entire
program into the submit blocks to get the app to 'kick-off' that
program.  This is ideal for version control. Say, you have to modify
the main program you would now have to worry about the version between
the submit blocks.
