The NESUG 2003 Conference, September 7 through September 10, will be held at the \
Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia, which is beautifully situated across \
the Potomac river from Washington, DC, a genuine tourist mecca that is CLOSE TO \
EVERYTHING (within walking distance or a few short hops on the Metro)!!!
Here are some highlights of NESUG 2003:
HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS:
===================
In addition to five concurrent presentation tracks running Monday through Wednesday \
– including both Beginning and Advanced Tutorials - this year NESUG is offering the \
Hands-On workshops F-R-E-E to all attendees on a first-come first-seated basis. This \
is a great way to learn by doing. For these workshops, we have put together a strong \
lineup of experienced presenters and trainers:
Bob Virgile Dana Rafiee Ian Whitlock
Paul Dorfman Jack Shoemaker Marje Fecht
Vince Timbers Daphne Ewing Dan Bruns
Michael Mace
These talented folks will be covering a range of topics, from setting up web based \
reporting applications with XML and new Features in SAS Version 9.0 to more \
traditional subjects like Macros, PROC TABULATE and SAS Programming Efficiency. If \
you've not already done so, check out our website at:
www.nesug.org/NESUG162003.html
Here you can find more details on these workshops and other activities going on at \
the conference. Schedules, abstracts and bios are posted for all of our Hands-On \
workshops and all other presentation sections.
...... AND IF THINGS COULDN'T GET ANY BETTER -----
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
================
This years' Keynote Speaker will be Paul Kent, Senior Research and Development \
Director for Base SAS Research at SAS. Paul Kent leads a team of over 160 people who \
maintain base SAS and other SAS software products, such as SAS/CONNECT, SAS MDDB \
server, SAS/SHARE and SPDS. Paul is a great speaker who always manages to entertain \
while still informing.
