Well, I also have a problem with SAS Editor, but I do not know if it is
SAS problem or a problem of our net work.

Sometimes, after I run a long program, when I get back to Program window,
only half of the screen appear. What I mean by half screen is that the
whole screen is in the background color, but recalled program only appear
on the top part of the screen, and in the bottom part, there is no even
number lines. If I use scroll bar to move up and down, it may recover
and continue to work. But if I click on the blank bottom part, SAS will
give me a error message and kick me out from session. To make things
worse, SAS does not support recovering function. In MS-Word, if you
shut down the machine while you are typing something, when you reboot
your machine, the unsaved file will be recovered. In SAS, you lose all.
Sometimes. you typed a long program and forget to save it, when the machine
is locked, you still can see the program on screen, but can not save it or
copy it. Totally hopeless. As a result, some of our colleagues here
never use SAS Editor, but use the third party editor to write their
programs, save it, and switch to SAS window to run it. It is a pain.
