Try:
TCPIP> set config enable service smbd
This should set it in the permanent database. Although, I
haven't had to reboot yet...

V1.9xx doesn't run under 7.2-1, I have just upgraded to 2.03 and will try this

always need a line in the SAMBA_STARTUP.COM that says
TCPIP ENABLE SERVICE SMBD ? Or is that a stupid question,
too?
