Hi,

I tried to compile SAMBA-2.2.0 and SAMBA2.2.0a on a COMPAQ DS10 running
Tru64 UNIX version V5.0. I use GCC 2.95.3 as created on
a COMPAQ Tru64 UNIX 4.0D system (because also GCC does not compile
on Tru64 UNIX V5.0). The same problem occurred on a ALPHA 1000/266
running OSF1-V4.0F with GCC-2.95.2.

I ran into problems with:

> Compiling smbd/dir.c
> smbd/dir.c:628: macro `stat' used with too many (3) args
> gmake: *** [smbd/dir.o] Error 1

The system-supplied STAT is in /usr/include/sys/stat.h and is defined as:

int stat(
          const char *path,
          struct stat *buffer );
Any hints? Or do you need/want any extra information?
Samba versions 2.0.x all compile well on Tru64 UNIX.
