I propose that $datadir/ri be moved to $datadir/ruby/ri in the future.

It will be more clear to future generations of sysadmins to see 
/usr/local/share/ruby than /usr/local/share/ri.

Consider examples of other languages of packages...  What if there were 
the following?

/usr/local/share/ci
/usr/local/share/ji
/usr/local/share/pi
/usr/local/share/si

It's unnecessarily confusing...
