Be aware that rrdtool stores all values as floating point and performs
data aggregation and normalization.  There are a number of posts in
the list archive discussing ways to work around/prevent normalization
and aggregation, and I recommend looking at them if you need your
output data points to be exactly equal to the original input.  Even if
you follow these guidelines, you still may see rounding error due to
the conversion to and from floating point.
