Perfectly, understood.  I was mainly suggesting the rpm-devel list or
RedHat's bugzilla may a more appropriate forum. Both Jeff Johnson and
Paul Nasrat (the two main maintainers of rpm) read this list but from
what I can tell not as often.  bugzilla is probably the best place
because what you are describing is just plain vanilla bug, so bug
report is appropriate.
