Actually, I'm already using rb->backlight_on() and it seems to just trigger the \
backlight, but the timeout still happens at the appropriate time.  I don't think \
it'll be necessary to know whether the screen is visible without the backlight since \
                it seems to follorw the default behavior without a problem.
