Hi,

I'm using reiserfs 3.5.34 with a 2.2.19 kernel on our mailserver. The machine
was running fine (without any big changes) for several months.

But now some accounts can't receive any new mail - and it doesn't look like
it's a problem of the mail daemon (cyrus imapd 2.0.16) but of reiserfs:

Feb 19 09:31:53 mails kernel: reiserfs_rename: could not remove old name
[...]
Feb 19 09:33:19 mails imapd[9105]: IOERROR: creating quota file
/var/imap/quota/i/user.info.NEW: File exists
Feb 19 09:33:19 mails imapd[9105]: LOSTQUOTA: unable to record free of 0
bytes in quota user.info
Feb 19 09:33:19 mails kernel: zam-7321: reiserfs_add_entry: matching hidden
entry found

Something like this shows up in the log every time one of the "broken" users
should receive a new mail.

The partition is mounted with the "sync" option.

What does that mean? What can I do?

Kind regards,

Gerd
