Just make sure you have the following symlinks:

/usr/include/asm -> ../src/linux/include/asm
/usr/include/linux -> ../src/linux/include/linux
/usr/src/linux -> linux-2.2.16 # or whatever is your kernel
/usr/src/linux/include/asm -> asm-i386 # or whatever is your architecture
