You should move to the directory where you have the rdesktop code and run

patch -p [strip-count] [path of patchfile]

("strip count" is the number of levels you want to strip from the paths in
the patch file. If you're standing in the rdesktop directory and the paths
in the patch file looks something like this: 
"Common subdirectories: rdesktop-1.6.0/keymaps and
rdesktop-1.6.0-1rsk/keymaps"
you want to strip the first part of the path since you are already located
in the rdesktop directory. You would write: "patch -p 1 [path of patchfile]
)

and then you need to recompile rdesktop
