I can log in with the password for the id gisftp which has the @ special ch=
aracter with FTP at the command prompt in windows..........

I:\>ftp mvstech

Boo hiss............yes special characters were used in the password , an @=
 was in the password...............Debra

HI Debra,

Does the password have any special characters? The at-sign @ and colon : ar=
e FTP control characters and cannot be used in passwords for FTP logons.

Hello,

We are still testing new RACF password restrictions/syntax. The user loggin=
g into the test environment works fine for CICS and TSO. We are now testing=
 FTP processes and receive a failure. We are using upper and lower case alp=
ha characters but FTP is not accepting the password.

Any ideas?
