Hi Hanne,

Yes (Although it's a good idea to keep an emergency id with the OPERATIONS \
attribute).

It's probably easiest if you go to this invaluable site: \
https://www.rshconsulting.com/ and look at the presentation RACF & Storage Admin in \
the RACF Center. Page 27 is most relevant. I'm assuming you're using HSM.

I believe you need to tell HSM to delete the datasets for you.
You can issue this as an operator command, e.g. F DFHSM,DELETE dsn
Or you can use the TSO HSENDCMD command, e.g. HSENDCMD DELETE dsn

If you have a lot of datasets to delete, it's probably easier to use 3.4/DSLIST with \
block HSENDCMD DELETE / [Either repeat the command against different entries using = \
, or prefix with // at the start of the block, and terminate with //].

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Storage Admin and attribute OPERATIONS

Hi list,

Do you know if it will be possible for a storage administrator to perform all \
necessary tasks without attribute OPERATIONS?

We have been trying to make this work for quite some time with STGADMIN profiles, but \
now the showstopper is that they are not allowed to delete migrated datasets. They \
have to restore migrated datasets before deleting them, and that will be almost \
impossible when there are large numbers.

Vennlig hilsen / Kind Regards,
