I recall that at least in some instances the terminal id is a packed
form of the IP address.  There is SMF20TID (RACF terminal id) in record
20, but I didn't see it in an SMF dump.  Should it be there?

You do not "logon to a system", you logon to an application such as TSO
or CICS or IMB/DC. In any case, I think this would be something that
would be logged by the TCPIP system in SMF record 118 or 119, if you are
doing such logging. I'd ask in that forum.
