Regina,

With the new features available in z/VM 5.3, there are some interesting
LDAP-based opportunities here. IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator has some
facilities for synchronizing passwords using the z/OS LDAP change log and
RACF password enveloping. With the addition of an LDAP server, with SDBM
backend, on z/VM 5.3, your z/VM system could be the target of a password
change intercepted from your z/OS system.

Of course, this may be a bit more complicated than what you were looking
for. But alas, z/VM does not participate in RRSF.
