Dear all--

I am having the exact same problem described by Helen DeWitt in msg#00058
"install packages snafu", and I tried all of the suggestions by Simon
Urbanek in the thread.

I also uninstalled and reinstalled R with no luck.  I am using mac OS
X 4.9and R
2.6.2.  Any suggestions?
