Confirmed and still present in the current R-devel;
and as you say, it's only in the HTML version.
I'm quite sure it is only a bug in the underlying Rdconv perl
script, probably a consequence of the nesting of \{..\} inside \describe{..}.
The same things works e.g. in pretty.Rd.
R CMD Rdconv --type=html par.Rd
still gives html with that line missing (and replaced by a wrong
one).
