Could easily be changed, but I'd like to understand it first. I cannot
reproduce the problem. I never have `.' in my PATH and when I do
cat > foo
echo I am here
CTRL-D
. foo
I get "I am here".
Of course, this happens on Debian GNU/Linux. Is this a system-specific
problem or feature?
