Hey everybody,

I would be willing to donate time in coding to help push it along. I will
chip in money whenever possible as well..

Just let me know what you need.

Karl

  <pre>Hi,

It&#39;s been a long time since I posted here, as you probably all know I
don&#39;t really have time to work on Quanta. I still do free software (KDE)
work through KDAB, but as we don&#39;t have yet customers demanding a KDE
web development tool, Quanta is outside of our radar.
I wanted to be able to write such a mail for a long time, and now when
I read the post about Krita fundraising
(<a href="http://dot.kde.org/2009/12/02/krita-team-seeking-sponsorship-take" \
target="_blank">http://dot.kde.org/2009/12/02/krita-team-seeking-sponsorship-take</a>-
krita-next-level ), I decided that it is time to do it. I know, some
from our (ex-)team might not agree, that this is the way to go, but
well... ;)
Things have changed in the past in my life, and from one who lived from
donations and the unselfish support of Eric, I&#39;m in a situation now that
I can also offer some monetary support for KDE development, just as I
received it in the past. It wouldn&#39;t be much, more like around 100
euro/month or so. But if I&#39;d find someone enthusiastic to work on Quanta,
I&#39;d gladly give it to such a developer.
Here is my call to users, who want to see Quanta moving forward: would
you join me in such an initiative?
Here is my call to developers, whoever is still following the list:
would you be interested to do it?

Let me make it clear, this is not for those who want money and do the
&quot;job&quot; for the money. This is for those who would like to work on Quanta
(or already do on some parts of it). It is a reward for the work. It is
a stimulus package. :)
For example maybe you are a student and have to do some
afternoon/evening/weekend job to get some money. You could spend your
time on hacking instead now. Or something similar.

It wouldn&#39;t be much as I said. But if it starts to work, I&#39;m sure the
big community will support us from time to time. It did in the past, and
looking at the other projects (Krita, Amarok for example), it still
works.

Thanks for listening,
Andras

I can not contribute code but would be willing to make a donation. Not
enough to carry the project and probably not on a regular basis. I like
Quanta and think it is a great product with lots of potential. If this
