Odd, KHTML does pretty good for me, but by KDE 4 it should be very good as it passed the Acid2 test ahead of Firefox. Then again do we really expect IE to pass? You can have preview open any browser you want. That's the best solution unless you want to write the wrappers to load other rendering engines. Since Mozilla can be run in Konqueror that should not be too hard but we don't have an incentive to take effort from elsewhere for it.
